Insurance companies normally
do not cover massage treatments.
If you have a condition you feel would benefit from treatment, most Doctors will prescribe Physical Therapy
before
Massage Therapy. The best I can offer is receipts for your treatments. If you submit the receipt along with
a doctors prescription for Massage you
may get some reimbursement.
May....
However, if you should happen to have the misfortune of a car accident you
ARE COVERED
for Massage Therapy... up to
3 times a week for 8 weeks.
Of course, there are steps you
are required to take.
First you must have a prescription from a doctor indicating
Massage Therapy is
necessary. It
must include
diagnosis codes and the
Doctors
ID #. If you need assistance finding a doctor, you can contact Dr. Aliani at
2dcs4u@optonline.net. We work
hand in hand.
Then you
must complete the following forms -
HIFCA -
No Fault Information -
Indicate Form - and my
Client Information Form. (Click the links to view and/or print the forms) Once you have completed all of the required
information, we can schedule appointments and begin your Therapy.
Please keep in mind... After 8 weeks the
insurance company will send you to an IME (Indepentent Medical Examiner) where more than likely they will deny
all,
and any, futher treatments...
whatever they are.
It is in your
best interest to obtain the best treatment possible within that time frame.
Remember
there are many modalities available - choose the best for your situation!
